Dermatovenerology

Dermatovenerology is a branch of medicine that deals with the study of the skin, its adnexa and visible mucous membranes, its diseases and their treatment. Venereology, as part of dermatovenereology, deals with the study of sexually transmitted infections.
The skin is the largest organ of the human body. It has a very complex structure and has numerous functions:
– Creates a barrier to the outside environment
– Participates in the process of thermoregulation
– Represents a neuroreceptor organ
– It has an immune function
– It has aesthetic and cosmetic significance

Dermatovenerological examination includes examination of the skin, hair, nail plates, visible mucous membranes of the oral cavity and anogenital region.
Skin diseases are very common in our population, so that every fourth patient who sees a general practitioner has a skin change that indicates systemic diseases: infectious, metabolic, endocrine and hematological.
In the „Vizim” dermatovenerological clinic, examinations, diagnostics and treatment of skin diseases of adults and children are performed, such as:- Eczema (atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis)
– Seborrheic dermatitis
– Acne
– Rosacea
– Alopecia of various causes
– Vitiligo
– Skin infections (viral, bacterial, fungal)
– Sexually transmitted infections and other diseases of the skin and mucous membranes of the anogenital region
In our clinic, we also perform dermoscopic examinations of young people with the most modern professional dermoscope.
Dermoscopy is a non-invasive diagnostic method that enables the visualization of morphological characteristics of melanocyte, non-melanocyte, benign and malignant skin lesions that are not otherwise visible to the naked eye.
It is very important to perform preventive examinations of young people with a dermoscope, because this method enables early detection of melanoma as well as other non-melanocyte skin cancers with timely treatment.
Using a professional dermoscope, the detection of melanoma and other changes in moles are almost completely certain.
For the removal of soft fibroids (hanging warts), “Vizim” provides the possibility of using electrocautery as well as the application of the radio wave method.
